Juice of the Month
In the spirit of Saint Patrick’s Day, we will be offering a 10%
discount on our Apple-Kale-Parsley juice. This delicious juice offers
a wide variety of health benefits, and each glass contains a generous
serving of all three ingredients. First there are apples, which are known
for their cleansing properties. The pectin from this fruit forms a gel
that removes toxins from the intestines, while the potassium and phosphorus
help flush the kidneys. Eating an apple with a meal will help activate
saliva to help aid digestion and drinking an apple works even better!
Kale is a wonderful source of calcium, as well as many other vitamins
and minerals. It is also the highest in protein content of all cultivated
vegetables. Combine this with parsley, which has more vitamin A than carrots,
and more vitamin C than oranges. It contains chlorophyll, which purifies
the blood while cleansing the kidneys, liver and urinary tract. Of course
we use all organic fruits and vegetables, bringing you a powerhouse of
nutrition without the worry of pesticides! Look for this juice in our
refrigerated case located next to the Juice Bar, or order one fresh.
New Bakery Items
We are in the process of adding several new items to our bakery case.
In addition to our usual LaBrioche morning fare, we are now offering products
from Madison Sourdough. If you haven’t yet experienced the decadent
tastes of the Brioche Roll, Blueberry Danish and Pan au Chocolate you
haven’t quite lived!! These pastries will be available every mornings
of the week in our Bakery case. We will continue to carry Monty’s
Apple Turnovers on Monday and Friday mornings and Monty’s Pear Ginger
Bread and Apple Walnut Bread in slices for an excellent afternoon snack
with a hot cup of tea! We are also producing more and more from our in
house bakery everyday. Recent additions are the buttery croissants, fruit
scones, cheesecake brownies, grasshopper brownies, and Bumble Babies—a
nutritious hi-protein bar consisting of peanut butter, honey sesame seeds
and nuts! They make a perfect treat anytime!
Smoothie News
We now have smoothies available in our juice case, located next to the
Juice Bar. Several times daily we will be stocking it with our Breakfast
of Champions smoothie, made with freshly squeezed orange juice, bananas,
strawberries and wheat germ. We will also be offering a new smoothie called
the “Green Meanie” that consists of Apples, Mango, Banana,
Spinach and Spirulina. Check it out next time you need a delicious green
smoothie on the run!
