Emily Strickler
Juice Bar Manager
Spring has sprung, and the Juice Bar is preparing itself for the coming
months of sunshine, outdoor recreation and fresh air! If you are interested
in weaning yourself off the winter months of coffee, take a look at our
expanded selection of Rishi Teas and enjoy the benefits of a healthy,
natural beverage to cleanse and refresh you every time you drink it! Tea
has no calories, so it is the perfect drink to keep you feeling fit. Four
cups of tea a day can provide you with significant amounts of zinc, Vitamin
B2, folic acid and Vitamins B1 and B6. When taken with milk, which is
the preference of 98% of the population, it has approximately 17% of the
recommended intake for calcium. A cup of tea is also a good source of
manganese, which is essential for general physical development, and potassium,
which helps to maintain your body’s fluid balance. So, before or
after your spring jog or walk, stop on in the Juice Bar and relax with
a cup of one of our teas listed below and soon you’ll be feeling
the benefits of tea!
Green Teas
Organic Sencha Special
This organic Sencha has a fresh early spring character with a clear taste
and light grassy finish. A very refreshing everyday organic green tea.
Organic Jasmine Green Tea
Organic green tea is blended with fresh organic jasmine blossoms in a
traditional scenting process. The green tea absorbs the natural jasmine
essential oils from the fresh blossoms and imparts the sweet, soothing
fragrance of jasmine in every cup.
Organic Melon Seeds
This green tea comes from Anhui, China, and is made by hand in woks with
only the second leaf of a special tea bush variety. The single leaf resembles
a melon seed as it opens, imparting a mellow flavor and crisp, fresh aroma.
Black Tea
Organic Earl Grey
This special blend of certified organic black tea and natural bergamot
fruit essence has a superb citrus aroma and great taste. A perfect organic
blend.
Organic Darjeeling
This Muscatel Darjeeling has an amber infusion with a nectar-like body
and a vivid fruit and wild flower aroma.
White Tea
Organic White Peony
White teas are prized for their cooling and detoxifying properties by
Chinese medicinal practitioners. This tea has a unique herbaceous aroma
suggestive of bamboo and toasted nuts.
Herbal Tea
Organic Rooibos
Native to the mountains of South Africa, Rooibos is prized for its great
flavor and contains important minerals and vitamins. Naturally caffeine-free,
it helps relieve insomnia, nervous tension, indigestion, and allergic
symptoms. Recent research also shows that it contains the highest known
levels of anti-aging properties of any plant on earth.
Organic Peppermint
Oregonian peppermint is the most aromatic and potent form of this world-renowned
mint. Its flavor is distinctive and its energy is calming, soothing to
the digestive system and according to the ancients, promotes focus and
clear thinking. It is said that mint also cures a hangover.
Serene
A comforting blend of blossoms and herbs blessed with a relaxing and refreshing
energy. Serene is the composition of chamomile blossoms, organic peppermint
leaves, lemon myrtle leaves, organic jasmine blossoms, organic lemongrass
and lavender flowers.
The Bakery
The Bakery is experiencing some changes and if you have been looking for
Liam’s delicious Vegan desserts, they have been discontinued. We
are actively developing alternatives and we hope that you will enjoy the
new creations as much as you loved his originals! If you have any suggestions
for a new dessert or if you have recipes for us to try, we would love
to hear about them! Thank you for supporting the Juice Bar and Happy Spring!
