Dane County Winter Farmers’ Market at Monona Terrace

Each Saturday, December 2nd–December 23rd, 8:00am–12:00pm. Visit with your favorite farmers and have fun shopping at the same time. Local holiday gift ideas and fresh veggies, potatoes, eggs, squash, bakery, artisan cheese, poultry, meat from pastured animals, apples, apple cider, wreaths, and more! Know where your food and drink comes from while planning for your holiday meals. Free admission; free music. On January 6th the Dane County Winter Farmers’ Market moves to the Madison Senior Center where our legendary breakfast is served each week using local vendor products.

Fair Trade Holiday Festival

Saturday, December 2nd, 9:00am–4:00pm. At the MATC Downtown Education Center, 211 N. Carroll St, Madison. Over 30 vendors of Fair Trade gifts from around the world. Clothing, art, pottery, gift baskets, jewelry, fair trade coffee and chocolate, and more from Fair Trade businesses and non-profit organizations. FERMENT Social Hour

Monday, December 11th, (second Mondays of the month), 5:30pm. Please join us for the monthly gathering of FERMENT—a local and sustainable food and agriculture happy hour. After an initial gathering, with close to 40 people attending, the good folks involved in local food and sustainable agriculture have launched this effort to create a place to meet others, cultivate connections and have fun. Those interested are also encouraged to bring a friend. FERMENT is currently meeting at RP’s Pasta/Fork & Spoon Café, 1133 E. Wilson St., Madison.
