Peace Sign Wreaths Sale at the Co-op
Saturday and Sunday, December 1st–2nd, 11:00am–4:00pm. Peace Sign Wreaths, handmade in Madison using a variety of fresh local evergreens; 22 inch diameter. $40. All proceeds benefit the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice, www.wnpj.org. Order yours today by calling 257-2748. Pick-up will be on Dec 1st and 9th between 11:00 and 4:00.

A New Winter Farmers’ Market on the North Side
Sundays, December 2nd and 16th, 10:00am–2:00pm. The Northside Farmers’ Market has moved indoors where it offers a wide variety of locally grown and produced food as well as crafts and art from local artisans. In addition to its unique offerings, the market will feature brunch cooked on the spot and live music suitable for a relaxed eating and shopping experience. The market is located at 2935 N. Sherman Avenue in the former Hancock Fabrics store next to Benvenuto’s in the Northside TownCenter, corner of Northport Drive and Sherman Avenue.

The 2007 Mid-winter Yule Faire
Sunday, December 2nd, 11:00am–4:00pm. Come and share in this extraordinary celebration of the Winter’s Solstice. Hear live performances, join a holiday sing-along, shop for holiday gifts and tasty confections. There will be a special appearance of the Solstice Faerie and special holiday crafts just for the little ones. Madison Senior Center, 1st floor, 330 West Mifflin St.

Sunflowers and Other Dreams
Friday, December 7th, 5:30–9:30pm. An exhibition of wildly colorful new watercolor paintings by Mary Kay Neumann. Champagne reception at Pilatespa, 2045 Atwood Ave., Suite 107. Ten percent of profits will be donated to Options in Community Living, a local non-profit that offers supportive services to people with developmental disabilities, assisting them to live in their own homes.

Charity Shiatsu
Saturday, December 29th, 9:00am–12:00pm. Charity Shiatsu is a simpler version of Tao Shiatsu, which is the Japanese hands-on form of Oriental medicine. Giving a donation and receiving Charity Shiatsu is a refreshing way to enrich the quality of your life and promote better health and happiness for yourself and others. Tao Sangha Center, 257-4663 or usa@taoshiatsu.com. Fee: 10 minutes for $8 and 25 minutes for $18 (Uni currency accepted).

Nembutsu Samadhi—Buddhist Chanting Circle
