A sweet and unusual dessert.
|1⁄4 c||light brown sugar|
|1⁄2 c||heavy cream|
|8 T||butter (unsalted, divided)|
|4||bananas (halved lengthwise)|
Saute ½ butter until foam reduced then add bananas with the cut side down. Cook approx. 2-3 minutes then turn and cook other side. Place 2 slices of banana into serving bowls. Add remaining butter to pan, melt, and add brown sugar, cardamom, and salt. Add cream and whisk. Simmer until slightly thickened, approx. 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add juice of lime. Drizzle sauce evenly over warm bananas. Serve immediately with pride.
