Willy Street Co-op customer CHIP donations break $100,000
If you have CHIP-ed at our registers in the last year, then you have contributed to Community CHIP donations from Willy Street Co-op breaking $100,000!
In 2009, our customers donated $101,000 to Community CHIP, which passed that money on to their 67 member organizations. These oganizations work on a variety of issues including the environment, affordable housing, community development, violence prevention, services for people with disabilities, advocacy for people facing discrimination, consumer protection, and much more.
"We at Community Shares/CHIP are so grateful to everyone involved," says Moira Urich, Marketing and Communications Director at Community Shares of Wisconsin. "The Co-op is so much more than a great store. It also has a great staff and the best shoppers - people who are clearly strong supporters of our community. All of the groups that are part of CHIP appreciate your help very much."
