Responding to tragic events in Southern U.S., Co-op owners/members also contributed generously to Katrina relief efforts through giving at our registers and we were able to send a support check for $2,300.00 to Cooperative Development Foundation as well as a $1,000.00 match contribution from the Donations budget.

As a matter of course, WSGC owners/members continued to contribute hundreds of pounds of non-perishable foods using our food pantry shelves in the front of the store each month.  Generally, donations are delivered to the Atwood Community Center and Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center alternately, however due to massive donations on several occasions, both agencies were able to receive deliveries by splitting the enormous amount donated at the time of delivery.
