DESCRIPTION:Just like sitting down to a meal\, cooking that meal is even better when you do it with people that you care about. In this class\, the Sprouts will team up with an adult to make some great breakfast foods! Kids should bring a mom\, dad\, grandma\, grandpa\, uncle\, aunt\, adult sibling\, or anyone\, really\, that is an important adult in their life\, and together we’ll make some pancakes\, cook up a veggie and eggs scramble\, and how about a big fruit salad\, too!   \nRecipes contain: eggs\, dairy\, wheat.  \nClass Notes: \n\nThis is a hands-on cooking class for kids and adults.\nRefund Policy: Unless otherwise stated in the event description\, registrations for events canceled by Willy Street Co-op will be fully refunded. SUMMARY:Eating with Our Eyes: Presentation\, Plating\, and Garnishes
DESCRIPTION:It may sound cliché\, but we really do eat with our eyes. Do you ever wonder how the foods in cookbooks and fancy restaurants look so good? Chef Mike is spilling the fancy lookin’ food tea and will demonstrate some simple techniques that will elevate the eye appeal of every course of your meal from appetizer to dessert. It’s Eat Local month\, too\, so we’ll focus on foods-less-traveled as well. On the menu: simple but elegant fruit mousse with a crispy tuile cookie\, roasted chicken with tournéed vegetables\, a cream soup garnished with fluted mushrooms\, and a platter of hummus and crudite that will still look pretty good even after your guests tear into it.  \nRecipes contain: milk\, eggs\, wheat. \nMostly demonstration with limited hands-on opportunities.  \nTips for class attendees: \n\nClose-toed shoes\, clothes that are not baggy or bulky\, and long hair that is restrained are always good choices in the kitchen.\nOut of consideration for other guests\, refrain from wearing colognes\, perfumes\, or anything else that may carry a strong odor.
