“Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.” - John Ruskin
February… how can the shortest month of the year so often feel like the longest? We are deep into Wisconsin winter, and I find it helpful to remind myself that there are perks to this time of year. Sparkling snow, the general hush over our landscape, and the end of the parade of holidays all bring a little extra twinkle to February. The increasing minutes of sunshine don’t hurt either! If you have never walked to the middle of a frozen Lake Monona, you are in for a treat—it is truly awesome to find yourself in the middle of the City in nearly total silence. Check it out.

- Willy East will be closed February 24th and 25th. We hope to reopen by 11:00am or possibly earlier on the 26th; watch our website, Facebook or Twitter for an alert that we’re open again.
- And, in order to minimize the number of business open-hour disruptions, we have scheduled the winter staff appreciation party for the 24th.
- Willy West will be closing at 7:00pm on the 24th, also for the staff appreciation party.
We appreciate your patience during this project!
Third Site Criteria Task Force Recommendation to the Board
In the next month or two, the Third Site Criteria Task Force committee will be making a recommendation for a third retail site to the Co-op Board of Directors. This committee of Owners, staff and one Board member has been meeting for months, reviewing demographic information, market studies, site plans and Co-op goals in an effort to locate a successful third site. I am excited to share the fruits of their labor with all of you soon!
