"Good for sprouting" signs

A number of seeds, nuts, grains, and beans in our bulk aisle can be sprouted at home! Just look for the "Good for sprouting" sign on the bulk bin.

How to grow sprouts:

  1. Add seeds
  2. Add water
  3. Soak 12 hours
  4. Drain
  5. Rinse as needed
  6. Sprout
  7. Serve

How to make your own sprouter: The Easy Sprout system is readily available to buy at the Co-op ($15.69 and made locally!), or it's super easy to make your own with a mason jar.

  1. Find a decent sized glass jar, preferably with a lid.
  2. Drill small holes in the lid – 3mm is fine or punch them with a hammer and nail. Or you can purchase a Sprout Screen at the Co-op for $3.19.
