Orange Yogurt Cake with Orange Glaze

    • sugar

    • navel orange (zest grated and reserved)
    • 1 1⁄2 T
    • baking powder
    • 3 c
    • flour (all-purpose)
    • 2 1⁄4
    • sticks butter or margarine (softened)

Description

Rich and flavorful orange yogurt cake.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Beat the sugar with butter or margarine until creamed.
  3. Add eggs one at a time.
  4. Whisk together flour and baking powder.
  5. Alternately add flour and yogurt to sugar-butter mixture.
  6. Mix until smooth, blend in orange zest.
  7. Transfer to a lightly oiled 13” cake pan and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove, cool, and drizzle with orange glaze.
