seitan-stroganoff
- 1 lb fettuccini pasta, cooked
- 1 T toasted sesame oil
- 3 T canola oil
- 2 onions, sliced
- 4 clv garlic, minced
- 1 t thyme
- 1 t marjoram
- 1 t sage
- 1/2 t allspice
- 1 t black pepper, or to taste
- 2 c seitan, cubed
- 1/2 lb button mushrooms, sliced
- 1 c soymilk
- 2 T arrowroot
- 1 t salt, or to taste
Seitan Stroganoff Directions
- Sauté onions in oils until translucent. Add garlic and cook a minute more. Add seitan, herbs, and spices and sauté for 5 minutes; add mushrooms and cook until tender. In a separate bowl, whisk together soymilk, arrowroot, and salt. Add to sauté and stir until sauce thickens and bubbles. Add cooked pasta and heat through.
