Cheese Fondue

Fondue is such a fun (and delicious!) way to get friends and family together! This easy recipe will get it on the table in no time.



For 4 Serving(s)


  • 1/2 c dry white wine
  • 8 oz Swiss cheese
  • 1 1/2 t cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 t warm water
  • 1/2 ciabbata loaf
  • 1 apple
  • 1 pear

Cheese Fondue Directions

  1. In a heavy, medium saucepan, heat the white wine over low heat to a gentle boil. While stirring, add the cheese, a little bit at a time. Cook, stirring, until the cheese is melted and is lightly bubbling.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Stir the slurry into the cheese mixture, and simmer over low heat for 3-5 minutes, until smooth and creamy. If you'd prefer a thinner fondue, stir in more wine, 1 tablespoon at a time.
  3. Serve hot, with the bread and apple and pear slices.
