French Chocolate Granola

Double the sugar and chocolate in this easy granola for a super decadent version.

  • 6 c rolled oats
  • 1 c almonds
  • 1 c coconut
  • 2 T sugar
  • pn salt
  • 3/4 c honey
  • 4 T sunflower oil
  • 1/2 c finely chopped chocolate

French Chocolate Granola Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300˚F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, alomds, coconut, sugar, and salt, stirring well until well-incorporated.
  3. Over low heat on a small saucepan, heat the honey and oil, stirring occasionally, until very liquid. Pour into the bowl of dry ingredients, and stir to coat.
  4. Spread the granola mixture onto a rimmed baking sheet and bake until golden, about 30 minutes, stirring halfway through the cooking time. Remove from oven and immediately stir well to break up the pieces. Allow to cool completely, then fold in the chocolate. Transfer to a large, sealed container to store.
