- 2 T panko breadcrumbs
- 1 t butter
- 1 Vidalia onion
- olive oil
- salt
- pepper
- 2 T blue cheese crumbles
Grilled Vidalia Onions with Blue Cheese Directions
- Heat a grill to medium low heat.
- In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and melted butter. Set aside.
- Brush the onion slices generously with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Carefully arrange the onions on the grill grate and grill for 4 minutes. Flip, then top the onions with the breadcrumb mixture, then the blue cheese. Close the grill, and continue to cook the onions for 3-5 minutes, until the breadcrumbs look golden and toasted and the cheese has started to melt. Remove from heat and enjoy warm.
