Hot Fizz

Tart apple juice is paired with hot chile in this fizz, to add heat and a zippy, sweet pepper taste.

  • 2 hot chiles
  • ice
  • 2 oz apple juice
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz club soda
  • 1 lime

Hot Fizz Directions

  1. Slice open one of the hot chiles and remove and discard the seeds. Slice off a 1-inch piece, and discard the rest. Reserve the second chile, whole, for garnish.
  2. Gently muddle the piece of chile in a cocktail shaker. Add the ice, apple juice, lime juice, and simple syrup, and shake well. Fill a highball glass with ice, and strain the juice into it. Stir in the club soda, and garnish with the remaining whole chile and a single lime wedge.
