Ramps in Shallot Butter over Toast

Sautéing ramps with shallots is a great treatment for these yummy harbingers of spring.



For 2 Serving(s)


  • 2 T butter
  • 1 shallot
  • 1 bn ramps
  • salt
  • 1/4 baguette

Ramps in Shallot Butter over Toast Directions

  1. Melt a tablespoon of butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Sauté the shllots until soft and lightly golden. Add the second tablespoon of butter and the ramps. Sauté until stalks are soft, 1-2 minutes.
  2. Toast the baguette and top with the sautéed shallots and ramps. Serve while stil warm.
