DESCRIPTION:Lucca is a town in Tuscany\, whose culinary arts were made popular by Stanley Tucci. The widespread use of farro\, borlotti beans (cranberry beans)\, and lacinato (dinosaur kale) is said to have started in Lucca. We will make the Luccan fruit bread\, Buccellato\, which originated in the 1400s. While that rises\, we will prepare and enjoy farro soup that includes borlotti beans and lacinato.  \nVegetarian.  \nRecipes contain: milk\, eggs\, wheat.  \nMostly demonstration with limited hands-on opportunities. \n\nTips for class attendees: \n\nClose-toed shoes\, clothes that are not baggy or bulky\, and long hair that is restrained are always good choices in the kitchen.\nOut of consideration for other guests\, refrain from wearing colognes\, perfumes\, or anything else that may carry a strong odor.
