Combine rice and water in a saucepan. Heat to a boil over high heat, cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until rice is tender.
Meanwhile, combine coconut milk, turmeric, salt, and cinnamon and simmer, stirring to mix spices into the coconut milk. Stir in the raisins and gently simmer to plump the raisins. When your rice is cooked, stir the sauce and raisins into the rice to coat all the grains. Serve hot.
