Irish Soda Bread

Serve with Irish Bangers and Mash or homemade soup. Soda bread also makes a great snack or breakfast bread.

Ingredients

  • 4 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 c granulated sugar
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pt sour cream
  • 1 c raisins

Irish Soda Bread Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325F. Grease two 8"x4" loaf pans. Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add the eggs, sour cream and raisins and mix just until combined. Distribute batter evenly between the two pans. Bake loaves for one hour.
