The Board of Directors plays a critical role in ensuring the continued success and health of the Co-op. They represent all Owners in setting the standards for the Co-op’s performance, engaging primarily in developing the vision and long-term viability of the Co-op. The Board uses the Policy Governance Model to oversee the Co-op, ax system that emphasizes values, vision, and the empowerment and accountability of both the staff and the Board.
Attending a Board Orientation Session is required for candidates (Current Board members are exempt from this requirement). This year, candidates can contact us to set up an hour-long orientation session at a time convenient for both them and the Board member leading it.
