    Centro aims to strengthen access to family-centered community strategies that address the social determinants of health. Whether through youth programming, immigration services, or family services, the intent is that the community engages with staff committed to centering hope and healing for themselves and those they serve.

    Madison-based public defender service for people fighting unjustified deportation. If you have a loved one who has been detained by immigration, first, please call the Office of Immigrant Affairs right away. You can reach them at 608-242-6260. Then please reach out to our office at 608-640-4444. As a part of our local rapid response protocol, CILC will be in touch with family members as soon as possible.

    The Immigration Affairs Office (IAO) was established in 2017 in response to a growing immigrant community presenting with complex situations and language needs beyond what the Department could serve within existing resources. IAO filled a service gap to support families and connect them with allowable and available resources, thereby preventing more dire situations from emerging.

    With a branch in Milwaukee, Forward Latino advocates for community empowerment, democracy, and civil rights while addressing hate crimes, gun violence, and the needs of veterans and working families. We train and support a diverse network of Hispanic leaders to meet the civic, economic, and political challenges of the 21st century.

    Assists low-income people, including the elderly, families, children, and the disabled, with legal matters affecting housing, benefits, health-care access, and ending family violence. Represents farm workers for employment-related matters.
  • Open Doors for Refugees: https://opendoorsforrefugees.org/
    Volunteer lead organization, welcoming refugees arriving in Madison and supporting them while they are here.
  • Voces de la Frontera/Community Emergency Line: https://vdlf.org/know-your-rights/immigrant-rights/
    The emergency line is part of a broader, statewide strategy of community defense, which includes know your rights, rapid response efforts, which include mutual aid and legal defense support in collaboration with regional and local partners.
