Willy Street Co-op has three grocery stores open to everyone—you don’t have to be a member to shop! Like other grocery stores, we have:
- fresh produce
- packaged grocery products
- meat
- seafood
- plant-based products
- a hot food bar
- Grab & Go deli products
- beer and wine
- bodycare products
We’re also different from other grocery stores in three major ways:
- Specializing in natural, organic, local, and sustainably sourced products. About one-third of our products are locally grown, locally harvested, or locally made!
- A co-op owned by more than 34,000 Madison-area residents. People who have chosen to join our Co-op receive special pricing and they have a voice in how their Co-op is operated. Co-op Owners who spend $40 per week at our stores save an average of $100 per year thanks to Owner-only sales and discounts. - Community involvement and charitable giving. Willy Street Co-op gives over $140,000 each year to local nonprofits who are working to improve our community. We also collect more than $300,000 in donations from shoppers each year and 100% of it goes to Community Shares of Wisconsin, who splits it among their nearly 80 nonprofit member-organizations.
