Kirsten Moore, Director of Co-op Services for the Willy Street Co-op, talks about bringing the WIC Program to Willy Street - North. 

"The purpose of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is to promote and maintain the health and well-being of nutritionally at-risk pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children.

Kirsten Moore is the Director of Co-op Services for Willy Street Co-op. With over 33,000 Owners and more to come with the opening of the new location, Moore talks about her department's responsibility to find out how we can make the North store part of the Northside community.

Megan Minnick is the Director of Purchasing for Willy Street Co-op. According to Minnick, opening a third store is an opportunity to meet the needs of our expanding community.

Dean Kallas is the Grocery Category for Willy Street Co-op in Madison, Wisconsin. The Co-op is opening Willy North and for Kallas, it's an opportunity to serve a new community. 

You may have heard that Willy Street Co-op is opening a new store on Madison's northside in the late summer of 2016. It's a major undertaking and it going to cost a pretty penny. One way to get there is by selling Willy Street Co-op Owner Bonds, and we have a goal of raising $1.5 million in Bonds by August first. General Manager Anya Firszt explains the process.

If you are on a tight budget and would like to save a bit more at our store, our Access Discount Program may be just the thing for you. The program offers eligible Owners a 10% discount on purchases every day. Enrollment in one or more of a variety of public and private financial assistance programs or proof of gross income at or below 130% of the Federal Poverty Guideline can qualify any Owner for the Access Discount. If you’ve been in the Co-op recently, chances are you’ve noticed the brightly colored, Andy Warholesque cards hanging by the registers. They look like cans of food for a reason. The cards are an invitation for shoppers to participate in our P.O.P. Program.

Pantries of Plenty was launched in 2014 and is designed to offer much needed assistance to our neighborhood food pantries during the holiday season, when demands on the food pantries increase.
