Once again Willy Street Co-op teamed up with Edible Madison for a very special, community-wide Eat Local Cooking Challenge. Participants could buy a box of local products and tune in to see how two chefs decided to use them.

Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, we are offering a limited number of free 45-minute individual nutrition consultations with Katy Wallace. This opportunity is available to individuals 18 and under who have a financial need.

Did you catch our latest newsletter? We shared a very special feature article called Gerardo's Story: How Fair Trade Transforms Families and Communities.
Gerardo is a Fair Trade coffee farmer from the village of Santa Rosa in Jaén Province in the mountains of northeast Peru. He’s also a founding member of the Sol y Café Farmer’s Cooperative, a key supplier of our longstanding coffee partner, Equal Exchange. Sol y Café’s coffee is a regular component in two of our top-selling coffee blends: Organic Love Buzz and Organic Breakfast Blend.
You may be familiar with the “Fair Trade” label, indicating that the product supports the sustainable development of small producer organizations and agricultural workers in the Global South. But we wanted to talk with a farmer to learn about what “Fair Trade” means for them, their family, and their community. Gerardo was happy to share his story with us.
