It's great to have a jar of this turmeric-honey mixture in the fridge all winter during cold and flu season. If you feel something coming on, stir a spoonful of it into a cup of hot water, squeeze some lemon in, and add a generous pinch of freshly gournd pepper. Turmeric is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties, so it's good for aches and pains too!

- 1/3 c honey
- 2 1/2 T grated fresh turmeric
- lemon
- black pepper
Turmeric Tea Directions
- Use a mortar and pestle to combine the honey and turmeric into a paste. Store in a tightly closed jar in the fridge.
- For each cup of tea, place a spoonful of the turmeric paste in a mug and stir in hot but not boiling water until dissolved. Add a squeeze of lemon juice and a generous amount of black pepper.
