- 1 t oil
- 1 t tomato sauce
- 1 t sherry
- 1/2 t fresh ginger
- 1 carrot
- 2 T sweet pickle
- 1 t vinegar
- 3 t brown sugar
- 2 t cornstarch
- 1/2 c cold water
Sauced Sweet and Sour Carrots Directions
- Heat the oil in a saucepan and briefly fry the pickles and ginger. Mix cornstarch and water and combine with the rest of the ingredients, excepting the carrots. Add the mixture to the pickles/ginger and cook, stirring until the sauce thickens. Add the carrots, and heat to boiling. Serve hot.
