Sauced Sweet and Sour Carrots

  • 1 t oil
  • 1 t tomato sauce
  • 1 t sherry
  • 1/2 t fresh ginger
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 T sweet pickle
  • 1 t vinegar
  • 3 t brown sugar
  • 2 t cornstarch
  • 1/2 c cold water

Sauced Sweet and Sour Carrots Directions

    Heat the oil in a saucepan and briefly fry the pickles and ginger. Mix cornstarch and water and combine with the rest of the ingredients, excepting the carrots. Add the mixture to the pickles/ginger and cook, stirring until the sauce thickens. Add the carrots, and heat to boiling. Serve hot.
